We kicked off the weekend with the school’s end of the year carnival (which was highly anticipated by both girls…) and then a night swim and barbecue with friends… which felt quintessentially summer, and made me so excited for the upcoming months… long days, endless hours in the pool, delicious grilled food, and a sense of not keeping track of time. I feel as though each season has their own rhythm and routine to them… and the summer season has to be one of my favorites…. Yet, before we head into those summer days and nights, we still have two weeks left until we close out the year.

(Friday night BBQ with friends… swimming and crafts for the kiddos, good conversation for the parents… brought along this “cowboy caviar” and it was a big crowd pleaser…. linen pants (didn’t have to hem, “regular” length here), tank)

(Last soccer Saturday until the “fall season…” always bittersweet to end a fun season, but looking forward to having Saturdays back… joggers, tank, sneakers)
