Coming in a day later than usual with this weekly post, and hoping that everyone had a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend.
We spent the day with family, four generations of women, celebrating everything they’ve done for us over the years… we had a simple and delicious brunch at my parent’s house, followed by the inaugural swim of the season in my parent’s pool, and then came home for a family movie night….
It can be so hard, day in and day out, to reflect on motherhood… because honestly, often times it feels a lot like survival mode. But as the girls and TJ were prepping breakfast in bed for me (I was told that I was not allowed to leave the bedroom…) I had time to actually sit and hear my thoughts. I feel so incredibly grateful to be these little ladies’ mom. I don’t always get it right (and have to do my fair share of apologizing when I get it wrong). We have our days, and motherhood challenges me in ways I never knew possible (i.e. my patience). But it’s also a source of so many of my most precious memories, many dance parties, sweet conversations (although, they’re getting a bit more interesting now that our oldest little miss is getting older…), and a deep unconditional love…. and I feel so fortunate for my mom, who taught me how to be a mom and give that unconditional love and support (and to be a listening ear and shoulder to cry on) 🤍
And while I know yesterday was a day to celebrate motherhood, I also know how much this day hurts for so many for various reasons. So to those who have strained relationships with their own moms, who have lost a child + have an angel above, who are struggling with infertility, and those who have lost a mom + have an angel above, I think about you today, and always.
I hope everyone has a good day and week ahead!

J.Crew has some cute swim on sale right now, that I have my eye on for this summer season (sustainable as well). Loving this floral crinkle suit (also comes in solid colors), white crinkle two piece top + bottom, cover-up shorts, and my go-top stripe linen cover-up.
Non-beach/pool items that are one sale include this form knit one shoulder top (I found it to run tts) and these scrunchi sandals.
