(Fall decided to show up, beautifully.)
Despite having come down with a relatively nasty cold Wednesday evening, it was a rather festive weekend for us over here. We crossed off a few of our favorite holiday movies (see this post), watched Harper’s pre-school Christmas performance, checked out some supremely festive “exterior illumination,” and baked all our favorite cookie recipes Sunday afternoon with my mom + sister.
With only 2.5 weeks left until Christmas, I think it can get so easy to get wrapped up in the hustle + bustle of everything that needs to get checked off our to-do lists…. and easily lose sight of the deeper meaning of the season. So, when I was reading Harper “The Grinch” before her nap last Friday I was quickly reminded of the true meaning of the season….
“And the Grinch. with his grinch-feet ice-cold in the snow, stood puzzling + puzzling: “How could it be so? It came without ribbons! It came without tags! It came without packages, boxes, or bags!” And he puzzled three hours, till his puzzler was sore. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn’t before! “Maybe Christmas,” he thought, “doesn’t come from a store. Maybe Christmas… perhaps… means a little bit more!”
So, as we gear up over the next two weeks, here’s to remembering that Christmas is in, and comes from, the heart!
(Kicked off the weekend with little miss’ pre-school Christmas program…. so adorable)
(Kept it comfortable + casual on Friday… joggers, bodysuit)
(Friday night’s view…. stockings, tree skirt)
(Finally tried something new at Flower Child… their soups are amazing….)
(Saturday spent in workout clothes… laundry, cleaning the garage, really fun things…. leggings, pullover)
(Rewarded our hard work with some bubbly…. lounge pants, lounge top, socks, flutes)
(Bundled for Sunday morning church + sweet treats… my jacket, tee, jeans, booties, girl’s jumpsuits sold out)
(Baked cookies all Sunday afternoon… we made these indulgent sugar cookies + these “clean” chocolate peppermint cookies.)

Having been sick over the weekend, I am looking forward to getting in a long run… haven’t done so since before Park City. I’ve been living in this pullover during my morning workouts. It’s so good.
Bloomingdale’s is currently having 25% off with their Friends + Family sale. Included in this sale are my go-to black combat boots (an additional 25% off the sale price), cashmere joggers, + this cute faux leather black puffer jacket.
I found my my faux leather puffer jacket, that I wear all the time, on sale here!
Honeydew Intimates has some of the coziest loungewear, which would make great gift ideas…. love these waffle joggers + top combo… or this pajamas set under $50.
If you’re looking for some great home gifts, check out this home curated shop. And if you’re looking to cozy up your guest-room, check out the organic line of bedding from Allswell…. so comfortable! We snagged this cozy blanket + it’s the best. Love how festive it is!
Loving this metallic blouse + these faux leather joggers for the holidays!
If you’ll be traveling this holiday season, a few comfy pieces I think would be perfect for a long car ride or flight include this ribbed poncho, short sleeve sweatshirt, barefoot dreams cardigan, + these leggings.
I was recently asked about some favorite graphic tees. While I pull for this Bing tee time + time again + love Chaser brand tees, I also found a couple other cute ones including this gauzy graphic tee, this lion graphic tee (own this one + it’s so comfy), Janis Joplin Tee, ACDC shirt (looks just like the Bing tee, under $20), and this Wild Thing tee.
