As I mentioned last week, my sister and I headed to Vegas this past weekend to celebrate her 30th birthday. It had been quite a while since I had been on a girls only trip (I think two years) and I knew it was something that I was desperately craving. We spent the weekend with no schedules, being relatively indulgent, and staying up late in bed just chatting about life…..

I think in life it’s so easy to get caught up in everything we have to do for others (and this isn’t just in a mom role…) that we sometimes forget to take care of ourselves. I’ve obviously changed since becoming a mother… that is inevitable, but the core of what makes me, me… well, that hasn’t changed. I still enjoy time quality time with TJ, my girlfriends, running + working out, reading a good book, creating simply + delicious meals, and occasional shopping trip now and then, and a cat nap here and there. And while it’s not possible to do all of these things whenever I want, this weekend was a good reminder to me that those parts of myself are vital to remember if I want to be the best mother to my two little girls.

This weekend was super indulgent so I’m looking forward to getting back into clean eating and my workouts. I wore this little ribbed workout top (from the Nordstrom Sale) for my past two workouts and it’s a great option for warm summer days. And this cropped pullover is perfect for post workout.

These SPANX biker shorts were one of my favorite purchases from the sale, and I love the idea of pairing them with a basic tank and a cozy cardigan for a cool summer night… or an oversized plaid blazer for an evening out.

Isabel Marant has some of the prettiest jewelry and I bought this dainty black + gold bracelet recently and haven’t stopped wearing it since…

I have my eye on this cute Free People bodysuit (love the button details) as well as these cute floral shorts (great post pool or with the bodysuit…).  This little white romper is also perfect for pool to happy hour!

We’re going to Hawaii in several weeks and I just bought this adorable gingham ruffled top + high waisted bottom suit. I also think this floral maxi dress + this convertible maxi (with this tie front top) are gorgeous!

One of my favorite open knit sweaters, that’s perfectly slouchy and great for cool summer evenings, is on major sale!

I’ve been using this Kopari Glow Lotion and have been obsessed. It provides such a beautiful, subtle, shimmer for a night out!
