The past few days, and next week to come, will be one filled with “firsts” for our family of four. We had our first family meal out in public this last weekend (it was a quick, impromptu lunch, but hey, it was something….), I headed out for some solo time on Thursday afternoon (for the first time in 5 weeks…), I’ll be flying solo with the girls for several evenings this week… and at the end of it all we have our first family trip to Palm Springs planned (so. excited.). And with “firsts” often comes apprehension + nerves… those same feelings we had when we experienced “firsts” with Harper… how will we manage two kiddos, how will I get both down for the night by myself, how will the sleeping arrangements work at a hotel with two little ones, etc….
Yet, we’ve always felt that the only way to figure it all out is to just do it. Book the trip, head out to the restaurant, dive head first into the craziness of managing two on my own…. and while you can plan out the details to a “T” + prepare yourself for everything that “could go wrong,” the only way to truly know is to throw fear + apprehension aside and learn as you go…
So that’s the theme for our week ahead… Learn As You Go… and when you’re done, you’ll have a new found confidence that you can do it again! Here’s to the week ahead friends. xx
(Kicked off the weekend with a little momma time in Laguna Beach….)

(Saturday morning hangs in whatever clothes we prefer…)
(Morning rituals… long walks with the babe…. leggings)
(First family outing to try out a new lunch spot… highly recommend Fork + Salad in the Circle….)
(Impromptu family get together….)
(Not tired at all…. jeans, pullover, hat, Tj’s shorts, Tj’s pullover)
(All my crazies in one photo… pullover, joggers)

I head into the doctor this afternoon for my 6 week postpartum appointment…. I can’t wait to start working out again and to move my body! I’m thinking a Peloton ride tomorrow morning is in order…. I’m also looking to purchase a new pair of running shoes and have been contemplating this Adidas pair. The reviews seem like they’re worth the price tag….
I added a few new Gorjana pieces (their summer collection is beautiful) to my collection… including these tiny little hoop earrings, capri layering necklace (love the dainty layers), and this coin necklace…
Madwell has some of the cutest new arrivals right now… I’m loving this cute little PVC tote bag. So cute for summer.
I’m also looking for a cute pool/beach bag for the summer and there are so many cute options here.
I just saw that one of my favorite jumpsuits now comes in a tan color option… bought this before I was pregnant, wore it throughout my pregnancy, and can’t wait to continue wearing it this summer. Such a comfortable piece. Pair it with this bag + hat for an easy summer look.
I ordered these beautiful blush slides over the Memorial Day weekend (they were 40% off)… they finally arrived and they’re so good for summer. A beautiful pale blush color and nice padding for all day comfort.
I’m trying to be super diligent about sunscreen on my face this summer (I always am when I’m by the pool)… so I purchased this setting powder with SPF45… I’ve used it all weekend and love that it’s lightweight and sets my makeup for the entire day.
I stumbled across this cute little leopard print camisole and think it would be so cute with black cut-offs this summer… it’s also nursing friendly with a hidden button.
My favorite little white suit from last summer, that has the prettiest low back details, was recently restocked and is under $50… I also wear it as a bodysuit…. a good two for one.
A few items I have my eye on right now include these denim paperbag shorts, gold polka dot blouse (this color is beautiful for summer), cute little white skirt, velvet knotted flipflops, and this mauve colored sweatshirt.
We’re heading to Palm Springs this coming weekend and my body is so pale… I just purchased this tanning moose for a little extra color from the mist I typically use. I’ll be sure to report how it works (I love the COOLA mist…).
