Weekend Recap || Time

When we went into last week, I knew it would be my first time flying solo with both girls. After three weeks, TJ was heading back to work. With some help from my momma, we went on a few outings… and when Friday rolled around, it was time for a glass of rosé….

And while tired would be an understatement at this point in newborn + toddler life, I stumbled across this quote on instagram the other day….

“…This is the only childhood I get with them. One day they will be gone, and all I will have is memories + pictures. I have to keep reminding myself of that.”

So, when after a 3am nursing session with Camille was over, and I peeked into Harper’s room and her eyes were wide open, I paused for a moment. Wanting to go back to sleep, and not get our little tornado riled up, I closed the door. Yet then I heard her ask me to lay with her and rub her back “for 3 minutes…” and I remembered the quote I had seen hours earlier. I went back in and laid with her until she fell back to sleep.

And while the reality of the quote is true for most of life (we only get one), it’s particularly relevant to the phase we are currently navigating…. where the days are long and the years are short… and there are times we can’t wait “until they are older…” but then we remember that we only have a finite period of time with them, and it causes us to pause.

With that, I’m entering the week ahead with that simple quote in the back of my head. Hope you all have a good one!

Two more weeks until I can work out again…. and I can’t wait to hit the Peloton bike… I’m currently loving this blush tank + capri workout set…. as well as this black + white tank + these slashed leggings (they look so good on everyone!). Also picking up a new pair of my all time favorite invisible workout socks… they’re super comfortable + stay put during all my workouts.

Anine Bing makes some of my favorite graphic sweatshirts + tees….  currently have my eye on this cities pullover (great for summer nights and cool spring days…. #momstyle elevated) but also own and love this eagle sweatshirt + white graphic tee. Quality is excellent and style is on point.

I also found the best slouchy oversized tee … snagged it in white + black. The material is super nice and can easily be dressed up or down.

Endless Rose, a brand I’ve loved for a while, has some beautiful new arrivals… excellent on trend pieces, mostly under $100… like this beautiful white top + striped maxi dress.

I’m also looking to purchase my first pair of jeans, postpartum (one size up, let’s be real here…) and thinking that I might try a pair of AGOLDE  (maker of the best denim shorts… so I figured…). Specifically have my eye on this light washed cropped pair and these loose fit jeans.

I found the cutest olive green high waisted swimsuit, for under $100…. thinking it would be perfect for summer! Also comes in black…. Also loving this striped coverup romper + these seafoam coverup pants. And this two piece dress would be gorgeous for happy hour drinks… Can you tell I have a getaway on my mind??

A few budget friendly pieces I picked up last week include this adorable blush straw tote, see through crossbody bag (seriously so cute), boater hat, and this white boho dress.
