(A beautiful Sunday morning in Laguna….)

With rain having been in the forecast on the weekends for the past several weeks, we were fully prepared to take advantage of a rain free weekend as we headed into Friday. We ended up adventuring around to local favorite spots, spent some time down by the beach, and canceled our babysitter for date night in favor of an Oscar nominated movie + a big old bowl of popcorn….

As the weekend began to wind down, I realized that it’s been 3.5 months since we’ve really traveled anywhere (our last vacation being Park City in November…)…. a long time for us, since we typically get a case of wanderlust quite frequently. Yet, with the house renovation still needing to be finished + a little one on the way in eight short weeks we’ve felt the need to stay close to home. Which has lent itself to finding new + creative ways to make weekends fun + adventurous. The past few days were a gentle reminder that it’s really not that difficult to make every weekend feel like a small adventure…

I’m working on a turmeric smoothie for Wellness Wednesday…. making a few tweaks, but it’s one of my recent favorites….

I recently purchased this almond v-neck thermal (lightweight + fits so well), basic v-neck tee, oversized blazer (on sale!),  one shoulder top, stripe bodycon dress, and this ribbed bodycon dress to transition into spring and for the rest of my pregnancy (and beyond).

TJ + I are getting away for our anniversary weekend in a few weeks and I stumbled across this super cute straw tote (a look alike for the Cult Gaia bag) and I think it would be super cute to bring along. I’m also thinking about this dress (shared in Friday’s post) + this suit/bottom combo. The weather in CA has been below average lately, so we will see… some years our anniversary weekend can be in the 80’s… last year it rained….. I think this one shoulder pullover, in a larger size would be a safe choice though….

How adorable are these paperbag chambray shorts? I’d pair them with the one shoulder pullover above and these slides for a cute spring look!

I also ended up ordering this pullover in black + ivory… it’s just so comfortable for pregnancy, and I know that it will be perfect after as well… likely front tucked into shorts for a summer evening on the beach!
