Weekend Recap || Demo Day

Well, today is finally the day that we begin demo on our house! I feel as if we have been waiting for this day forever… and it’s officially here. I guess what everyone says about renovations taking “twice as long and twice as much,” is completely accurate. We’ll being doing it in phases, beginning with the kitchen and living room, while we wait for the master bathroom permits…. and I’m certain there will be bumps along the way. As with all of life, the ups and downs come and go… there are periods of high stress, and others where it seems as if life is smooth sailing. I’ve come to realize that the challenging times in life only help us to appreciate the times when it seems as if all is going well (like, I took for granted all the months Harper slept amazingly well… and will wait until that day happens again… #SendHelp)…

So, as we head into the week ahead, I do so with great anticipation for that first wall to be knocked down… and will relish in that moment! Hope you all have a wonderful week! xx

__________

Finally getting back to a spin class this weekend… obviously riding with less intensity these days… but looking forward to getting back into one of my favorite workouts. We also made this amazing lemon pepper steak last night and it was delicious!

Anthropologie has some super cute new arrivals and had 20% off this past weekend (sometimes they extend it one more day…). I snagged this cute pom cardigan…. but also love these leopard print lounge pants, swiss dot blouse (beautiful as a layering piece in the fall), metallic blouse for the holidays, and this oversized cowl neck sweater.

I love this camo baseball cap for days when I just don’t feel like washing my hair….and I recently purchased this adorable pom beanie for cooler weather and early morning walks. I also love this fringed scarf… the blush color is beautiful….

Monrow is a great line for casual comfort… I’m loving this henley pullover, maternity sweatpants, and this stretchy tank (perfect with and without a growing belly).

A few casual tops that I am currently loving right now include this black + white stripe top, ribbed henley top, + this beige stripe pullover.

I also think this jeweled toned velvet blazer would be a beautiful layering option…. wear it to the office or out on a date night. The color if gorgeous!

This floral print dress is a great for fall, especially when paired with OTK boots….

Some fall budget friendly pieces that are super cute include these booties (look like a pair that’s 3xs the cost…), duster cardigan, cozy fleece, and this dolman sleeve pullover sweater.
