“Never get so busy making a living that you forget to make a life….”
Something TJ and I have always talked about is the importance of experiencing, and living, life with our little family…. to never get so caught up in “making the living” that we forget to make memories. Yet sometimes it becomes all too easy to fall into the grind of the 9-5, that those memory making moments get put on the back burner. With the past few weeks being filled with transitions, and getting back into a routine, we decided to take this weekend to work on those memory making moments…. we enjoyed time with just our little family…. ate delicious food together, and just enjoyed one another’s company…..
I’ll be holding this reminder with me as we head into the week ahead….. Have a great week friends! xx
(Kicked off the weekend early with beachside tacos + a sunset….Harper’s dress (similar))

We ate out a lot carrot spiral dish this past weekend…. as if that wasn’t obvious already…. so we’ll be cooking most of our dinners this week. Looking forward to making this.
I’ve been asked a few questions about fall favorites… and since it’s still very much summer in Southern CA, I always struggle…. haha…. but I thought I’d share a few favorites with you today…..
Free People is always a great spot for fall favorites (well, favorites in general) and I’m loving this oversized scarf (debating between grey + blush), ribbed cardigan (the belt + button detailing are beautiful), gorgeous wrap skirt (which would be super cute with a chunky knit), one of my favorite thermals, this oh-so-soft teddy peacoat (maybe more later fall and winter…), oversized tunic (if you’re on the shorter side it could be a dress too…), and I think this dress is so beautiful (especially the color…).
I just bought these lounge-y sweatpants (cutest button details) and they’re so comfortable. I also snagged this button front ribbed dress…. would be super cute with a utility/denim jacket in the fall.
A few great work options for fall, from Everalne (they have such great, quality, items) include my favorite day glove flat (I like the tan and black for fall), polka dot blouse, short sleeve silk shirt (I own it in black + white… it’s super soft and also goes with jeans), basic v-neck sweater (I own in the blush), and this beautiful cashmere dress.
Still loving leopard for fall…. a few favs include these kicks (love this brand), belt, hair tie (super cute around a messy top knot), and cardigan (would be cute layered over the above mentioned ribbed dress).
I think this marigold colored dress is beautiful for a fun fall occasion….
Annnnd, this camo utility jacket is on my wishlist.
I’ve also been living in this lightweight bomber jacket when we go out in the evenings…. and love pairing them with these joggers (I’ll have a full styled post with both tomorrow….).
