Weekend Recap || Spontaneity

We went into the weekend with very little on the agenda… which was a nice change from the previous two weekends. I always have a hard time with spontaneity, preferring to have weekends planned out… while TJ is the opposite, and would prefer to play things by ear. And yet sometimes, letting go of plans, and letting things unfold as they may makes for an unexpectedly fullfilling weekend…..

I often find that because I am so routine, days start to become slightly monotonous….. which is really great most of the time (and helps me stay organized and on top of things), but sometimes we just need something a little different to break life up a little. And while the weekend wasn’t full of crazy spontaneous plans, it was filled with unexpected moments that wouldn’t have otherwise happened had the days been laid out ahead of time….

So, as we head into the week ahead, I’m going to keep the saying that “The best moments happen when they are unplanned….” in the back of my mind…. and allow what comes to come and enjoy the ride. Have a great week friends! xx

__________

We haven’t been back to spin in a little while… just booked a class tonight and looking so forward to it! Hoping to come up with some different + simple recipes this week as well.

Lou + Grey has some of the softest pieces and they just launched at Nordstrom. I’m loving these pink joggers + pullover combo, basic v-neck tunic top (so many great color options), duster cardigan, and this white drawstring hoodie.

A few super cute + casual dresses that can easily transition into fall include this ribbed maxi dress (I own this in the top version and the buttons are super cute), basic black midi dress, casual sweatshirt dress, and this v-neck midi dress (love the color for fall). You can easily wear all these dresses with slides now and kicks in the fall…. and then layered with a leather or suede jacket (my favorite option).

I’m also loving all the cute fall workout pieces that are coming out… like these distressed leggings (obsessed with the color), twisted racerback tank, and this distressed tank in the blush-ish color.

One of my favorite wrap sweater from last year was brought back in stock this season in so many beautiful colors.

I am obsessed with these beautiful booties for fall, especially in the tan suede….

Also, these leopard print mules, in my favorite mule brand, are on sale and so cute….

And Madewell has such cute new releases like this marled grey cardigan, ruffle tie front tank,  and this sweater tank.
