Weekend Recap

salty doga, itsy bitsy indulgences {Summer sipping situation with some salty dogs (glasses, plate)}

This past week was a wild one. With TJ being out of town on business for all 5 days, Harper + I camped out at my parent’s house for the week. It was kind of enjoyable (well, actually, very much so)… my sister was home a few nights, and it was fun to be roommates again, even if we were 10 years older. With my mom being able to watch Harper in the wee hours of the morning, I was able to wake up early (read: 5am) to go to a Soul Cycle class and Core Power Yoga Sculpt class. I hadn’t been back since pre-pregnancy, and it felt so invigorating. Yet, despite all the help I received over the week, Friday was welcomed with open arms. TJ returned, and we settled into our usual weekend routine… a morning run, followed by a delicious breakfast, and a dinner with happy hour cocktails+ some rosé. I always feel reassured knowing that no matter how wild and strange a week can get, we still have our weekend routines which bring everything back to neutral. So….  here’s to welcoming whatever the week throws at me (because…. I always have the weekend!). Have a good one friends!

I’ve been going a little crazy over on Pinterest lately, looking for some delicious healthy recipes. I found this detox lentil soup, this Coconut Stracciatella Vegan Ice Cream, and these flourless banana muffins.

On Friday night, while I waited for TJ to get home, I took a little time to peruse some of my favorite sites and added a bunch of items to my shopping cart (need to start pairing it down….). Free People has so many gorgeous options right now. I’m loving this ruffle tank in blue (but it comes in several color options), this cute ruffle tee in white, this gorgeous embroidered maxi dress (so pretty for fall), a simple and cozy henley top, and this lace inset camisole. I think their pieces are super versatile… they can be dressed up and down, and I always find myself reaching for them over and over again.

I found tons of great basics too, like this t-shirt dress (I’ll probably size up 1 for a looser fit), this striped tank, this pullover sweater, swing tee (which comes in 3 color options), a cold shoulder sweater, this adorable pink tee, this rib pocket tunic, pink peplum shirt (just ordered it and picking it up in store tomorrow!), this pink cocoon cardigan (hello cozy), and this super comfortable pullover (perfect for summer nights or fall days).

A few styles that are a little dressier, but still versatile, include this adorable off the shoulder striped top,  this textured white peplum blouse, my favorite silk top (I have 2 colors of these blouses and they are amazing), and this chiffon ruffle tank.
