{Friday night rosé + music}

Well, welcome August. I feel like I say this at the start of every month, but where has this year gone? Having spent the last two weekends away, it was nice to stay home and just hang. We didn’t do anything particularly exciting, and I guess that was the nice thing. We returned to our normal evening routine, got in some pretty good workouts, visited a few of our favorite restaurants, and enjoyed some of our new wines. While I certainly love being a #weekendwarrior, I have to admit that returning to our routine was refreshing. I’m sure that will only last a week or so more though… but until then, I’m going to appreciate the return of our routine. I’ve been really intrigued by the relationship between the gut and an individual’s overall health (I’m hoping to be able to incorporate it into some of my wellness Wednesday posts). I stumbled across this article, and thought it was incredibly informational.

I had a little bit of downtime this afternoon, so I got online and perused some of my favorite sites. I’ve been eyeing this gorgeous straw bag for a while now, and it sold out so quickly and was just restocked. I am pretty sure it will be my new summer staple. I love it paired with this black ruffle top (seriously, so cute) and these jeans (which are from the Nordstrom sale and pretty amazing). In case you’re looking for some new jeans, I found a few pairs that I am loving, all currently on sale. I love this black distressed pair (can never go wrong with these), this distressed cropped pair (which would look super cute with these slides), and a high waisted grey pair. I’m also thinking that these light washed denim sandals are perfect for the end of summer, and I am digging this lace up pair (love the slight heel).

I’ve seen a lot of really cute chambray blouses, and I’m looking to add one to my closet. I really like the coloring of this option, and I like the little tie in the front with this lighter version. The shape of this one just beckons for a fun night out, and this option is perfect for everyday. I love that chambray can go with pretty much anything, and worn across seasons. I’m also loving bodysuits right now. I have this striped one and love wearing it with my favorite pair of denim shorts. I’m wanting to add another to the mix and I’m looking at this deep v option, this lace up one, this black strappy version, and this white mesh insert one.

Still a major lover of summer sweaters over here and I love this embroidered off the shoulder option… I think it’s so unique. I also like this lightweight off the shoulder version…. perfect for a summer evening when paired with these crochet shorts.

You guys! Little miss is growing way too fast. I feel like the clothes she was fitting into just last week are suddenly too small. In that light, I took to looking for some new items for her. I love chambray pintuck dress, this crochet cami dress, and this adorable dot flutter sleeve two piece.
