Weekend Recap

charcuterie board, itsy bitsy indulgences {Bubbly + Charcuterie}

This weekend was one of those that I felt needed to be stared on the calendar… I received my first 8 hour evening of sleep (never did I think I would celebrate the day!). Last week, our little miss was having a difficult time with her naps. The books I had purchased prior to her arrival weren’t providing me with the guidance I was needing (I’m more of an experiential learner… ask as I go), so we decided to consult with a sleep trainer.  I couldn’t have been happier. We immediately put the schedule in place, and Saturday night Harper went to bed at 8 and awoke around 7(!!!!). It made that charcuterie and bubbly you see up at the top possible… and allowed some of my dark circles to dissipate slightly (although the verdict is still out on that one…). I guess the saying “it takes a village” is really true… I certaintly couldn’t do all of this mothering alone. No way. No how. So, in that light, I enter this week with a grateful heart for supportive girlfriends, sleep trainers, loving husbands, and caring family… because without all of them… well, let’s not go there. Have a great week everyone!

I saw this article pop up on Facebook, and thought it was some interesting food for thought for any of you mother-daughter duos out there.

Still slightly in shock that Easter is next weekend! I am putting the final touches on a little Easter basket with Harper… but couldn’t resist thinking about a cute dress for the day. I’ve had my eye on a few from Banana Republic, and today they are offering 30% off and free 2 day shipping. I’m loving this white ruffle dress, lavender goddess dress, white lace drop-waist dress, and this white lace skirt. Thinking one will be on a UPS truck headed to me shortly.

Spring sprung yesterday. I couldn’t help but take in the mild temperatures and simplicity of a beautiful spring afternoon…. which had me thinking about simple and classic spring attire. On the top of that list is this cross over chambray top, orange off the shoulder top, stripe cami, and flowing white blouse. I’m also loving this fringe sweater (when paired over a dress, or layered over a cami), this simple cut-out top (in multiple colors), and my favorite bralette in pretty spring colors. And… would it really be spring without sandals? I already own this lace up option, but think that these are perfect for any outfit.

A few little pieces for Harper include these ADORABLE leggings (pineapple and flamingo print!), this dip dyed chambray dress, and these pink cut off shorts.
