It’s no secret that wine is a love of mine. Trips to Santa Ynez, Napa, and Champagne have sprinkled my travels over the past few years. Yet, when most wineries are at least a several hour drive (if not flight) away, it’s not always easy to set off for a mid-Sunday picnic in the vineyards. So, last year TJ discovered a local vineyard, Giracci, just up the road. We decided to check it out and fell in love with the grounds. Relaxed, casual, and beautiful. After that one visit we hadn’t been back… until this past Sunday.

After a leisurely breakfast we were deciding what to do for the day. The overcast had burned off (thanks to May Grey… and now June Gloom…) and the sun was shining. We decided a trip out to the local vineyard was necessary. Since we already had some simple sandwiches and salads… as well as some fruit, chips, and left over pizza (my favorite from Friday night) we simply packed our bags and headed out…

I decided that the outfit needed to be simple. Sitting on the ground required something casual yet cute. So out came my favorite distressed denim shorts, and off popped the tag on my new favorite sweater for summer… the side split makes it so unique. I brought along this sweater just in case it was needed, but it never had a chance because the weather was just too nice! It was casual, comfortable, and chic… my three favorite “C” words :)!
