Let’s be honest here, dressing is getting a tad more on the difficult side with an almost 37 week belly. Words that I never thought would enter my wardrobe vocabulary have crossed my mind a few times… you know, words like elastic. Yet, given the challenge, I’ve been more determined than ever to not resort to TJ’s button-ups on a daily basis (which means they may have slipped in here and there…).
Enter this tweed coat. I love its versatility. I wore it completely casual, with distressed jeans and loafers, for a day of relaxing in Santa Barbara… then dressed it up with these leather leggings and over the knee boots for sunset mock-tails. For a pregnant woman, I’ve come to learn, versatility is key. Yet, the thing I love most about this tweed coat, and all HATCH articles of clothing (seriously, I could buy the entire store… and LOVE this dress and simple henley), is that they help you feel chic both during and after pregnancy. At 37 weeks, I’m not really looking to invest in “maternity”pieces… but I am willing to spend a little for something I know will still look fabulous once little Harper makes her world debut!
As always, I wish you all a wonderful weekend! It’s supposed to be cold and dreary here and my nesting instincts have kicked in full force… so it will be a weekend of completing that check-list for me!
