It always feels funny writing “This past weekend,” when it’s Friday and I’m thinking about THIS weekend. So I’ll change it around. Last weekend was a great weekend. It was the first weekend in a long time that there weren’t any prior commitments on the calendar. One where we could enjoy our mellow Friday night and have a date night on Saturday night. The hubby and I were able to head out to Cucina Enoteca, which had amazing food, cocktails, and decor! If you’re in the area, check it out, you won’t be disappointed. Given the laid back feel of the weekend, I really didn’t want to get too dressed up. My usual skinnies and a white blouse came out so I decided to do the “dressing up,” so to speak, with my shoes and this fabulous tribal print jacket from LuLu*s. I love the muted tones of the jacket, perfect for the soft fall colors, and the material of the sleeves is to die for soft. It’s warm enough for the cooler fall evenings and will be a perfect top layer for those blistering cold Southern California winters (that’s a joke… blistering for us is about mid 50’s!). It’s a perfect piece to add a little something extra to an otherwise “basic” outfit and I can’t wait to mix and match it with all my other wardrobe pieces!
