Transitional Style || The White Romper, Summer to Fall

Well, I can’t believe I just wrote “fall” in the title of this post… but the reality is, it’s only a month away. And while my heart is still loving summer dressing… and all things summer in general (i.e. rosé, al fresco dining, longer evenings, backyard bbq-s, pool time…..)… I don’t mind adding in a few fall accents to my favorite summer staples here and there….

One of my favorite ways to do so is with a simple, lightweight, cardigan. An easy option to toss on over cut-offs + a tank for a cooler summer evening… or in this case, over one of my go-to white summer rompers. It’s the perfect little combo for a cool summer night spent outside with all of my favorite summer things! A few favorite transitional cardigans include drape front maxi cardigan (love the tan color…), button front waffle knit crop cardigan (I think it would be super cute front tucked into high waisted shorts…), one of my favorite Madewell cardigans in the white color, and this open knit duster cardigan.

On an unrelated note…. we take Harper to her “meet the teacher” day this morning… can’t believe she’s officially heading off to pre-school this Thursday! This evening, as I was tucking her in, she told me she was “nervous.” It completely reminded me of when I was heading back to school every year… uncertainty about the unknown…. and having to make the transition from summer life to school life. Hoping tomorrow morning goes well and helps to ease her nerves. Hope you all have a good one!
