Being short has its advantages.
(1). I will never be taller than TJ, even with the highest pair of shoes I own.
(2). I don’t ever have to worry about hitting my head when walking through a door (I’m stretching for the benefits here…).
(3). Instead of being frustrated that all pants look like high waters on me, I instead get to spend money to have someone take off 3-4 inches of the material I just spent money on (where is the logic in that???).
Ok. So, sometimes I wish I was just a few inches taller. Yet, as genetics would have it, I come from a long line of short-er women. I think my great-grandmother was a whole 4’10”. I was destined for shortness at birth (Allison has 2 inches on me…). And to be honest, it doesn’t really matter that much… except when it comes to some fashion trends. Take the “slouchy” look. Think boyfriend jeans and track pants (as seen here) paired with oversized boyfriend shirts and baggy sweaters or tees. I’ve tried it. I look like I am swimming in a sea of clothing (the image isn’t pretty… trust me). So, this here? This is my short gal’s attempt at slouchy…. all made possible by the petite version (code for short limbs) of these track pants (which I live in btw.). I am sure my long legged friends would have a counter to this entire post, and I love them for that 🙂
On another note. Happy hump day everyone. We are almost to the weekend… it’s all downhill from here, right?! At least I hope so.
