Saturday morning came, and TJ and I decided to embark on one of our crazy workouts. We had left our bikes at my parents house a few weeks back and decided that it was time to bring them home. So we laced up our shoes for the 8 mile run to retrieve them. Once retrieved, we hopped on the seats and pedaled home. All in all, it was a 16 mile workout… needless to say, my muscles were sore and screaming for a cocktail… because there’s nothing I love more than a cozy night in after a strenuous workout. There’s jusst something about tossing on the stretchy pants (or sometimes an old pair of Juicy velour pants, pick your color….), oversized sweater, and slippers to veg out on the couch, cocktail in hand.
I’m always torn though. After such a “healthy” day, who wants to ruin it with sugary and high calorie drinks?? Enter VEEV. VEEV was created as a better alternative to vodka. VEEV Grapefruit Margarita
1.5 ounces VEEV
1/2 ounce Tequilla (I used Don Julio Blanco)
4 oz Grapefruit (I freshly squeezed our’s)
Squeeze of Lime
Shake all ingredients and strain into a glass
