When we went to Italy, the one beverage I couldn’t wait to try was a Limoncello Spritz. I’m not a huge Aperol Spritz fan, too bitter for my tastebuds, so I thought that the limoncello would be a fun alternative. When we headed up to Franco’s Bar on our second night, I decided it was the perfect time to order one. It didn’t disappointed. Perfectly refreshing and crisp, I decided a second was in order…
So when we came back home, I wanted to give it a try. It’s a super easy cocktail to make (which I always appreciate) and follows a simple 3:2:1 ratio of Prosecco, limoncello, and sparkling water….
With the temps settling in the 90’s for the next week, it’s the perfect weekend libation to sip on while the sunsets!
______
LIMONCELLO SPRITZ
3:2:1 ratio
3oz Prosecco (we love La Marca Prosecco)
2oz limoncello
1oz sparkling water
Pour the above into a wine glass filled with ice- then garnish with a lemon and basil (mint or rosemary work too). So easy!
