I epically failed in packing this past weekend. I had every intention of waking up early Friday morning and packing before work. I did wake up early… but I got distracted and the packing never happened. So, at the last minute, and in a packing furry, I threw a bunch of items I thought would look good together into the suitcase and crossed my fingers. Luckily this is the mode I took when packing… as there were several times where the initial outfit I put on just wasn’t working with the bump. It seems that it grows everyday… what fit last week (as in… what I just tried on in the dressing room last week…) simply wasn’t looking the same this past weekend.

Enter this combination… four solid pieces I knew I would wear. Period. All pieces I hope will carry me throughout the next 8 1/2 weeks. Pregnant or not, a perfect fall closet should include all of them. The oversized boyfriend sweater (other favorites here, here, and here) allows for that comfy and cozy feel, yet when paired with the leather leggings prevents it from actually  looking like “his.” I’ve lived in these leather leggings for the past three seasons, and they’re perfect for the growing belly… given that their waist is elastic (and if you’re not pregnant… for those evenings of a few extra holiday indulgences… they’re pretty forgiving). Simple pops of leopard and plaid make it feel fall and add a little something extra, without being too ostentatious.
