When I was registering for bébé I was told that a carrier would be a “must-have.” Of course, as a new mom, I took the advice, but wasn’t sure how true it would be. Well, it was. When my little munchkin only wanted to be held (after already being held for hours) and I needed to do something productive (like eat) those carriers were literally lifesavers (and still are!). I ended up with two different ones, a Solly Baby Wrap (featured in photos) and a BABYBJORN carrier. We found that each carrier had it’s own function within our house, but that we loved each of them equally.

Solly Baby Wrap: (c/o) This is the softest little wrap there is and comes in so many different color options. It has two different wrap functions depending on the size of baby. There is a newborn wrap and an infant wrap. I found this to be an amazing option when Harper was a few weeks old. I was able to finish my make-up, hair, and eat a meal while she was snuggled close to my chest. It mimics a swaddled effect, which is why I think it was so successful in keeping her feeling secure and calm. I remember the first time we ventured out to breakfast as a little family… I wrapped her up and she slept throughout the entire meal… it made me feel as if we were really starting to get the hang of this whole parenting thing. Now, she rests comfortably in the infant wrap size, with her little legs hanging out of the bottom.
BABYBJORN: I remember one evening, during dinner, Harper was particularly fussy (then again, what’s new… that seems to be “her hour”). We attempted to put her in this carrier. Let’s just say it didn’t go over well. She had just met the “minimum” requirements, and I think she was uncomfortable, so we immediately removed her. She was slow to warm to this carrier, yet she doesn’t mind it one bit now. In fact, it is our go-to carrier for family hikes and longer walking activities (if you follow along on instagram you see it often). It feels secure and I love that I can easily maneuver around while carrying her and working out. It is also the carrier I take to the mall, just in case she gets tired of being in her stroller. TJ also loves wearing it!
And this is my “Peace Out Week” happy face! Have a great weekend everyone!!!
