So after day 1, out of 3, of potty training I’m ready for it to be over…. haha. It really wasn’t that bad… we’ve waited so long, and she’s been ready for a while, but the incessant talk of bathroom things is a bit much, and I’m ready to sink into the couch tonight and either stare at my incomplete WORDLE, dive into a new book, or just veg out to some movie that TJ chooses (it’s likely one we’ve seen 20 times before…).
Given that the day needs a change of topic, I’m going to shift it to one of my favorite pairs of summer shorts. This linen pair has been a go-to ever since I had Camille, so for three summers now, and they just become more versatile year after year. I love wearing them as a bathing suit cover-up, or just tossing them on for a casual summer day. The elastic waistband makes them super comfortable, but the linen and cuff at the hem, elevates them beyond a lounge short. I pack them on all of our summer travels, and can’t wait to take them to Italy at the end of July. I included them in my Summer Wardrobe Staples post because of all the aforementioned reasons. They run true to size (but I did size up one in the other colors I own… but in this color it didn’t look good) but if you’re between sizes, I’d size up.
