I recently polled people on instagram stories, asking them if they do better in hot or cool weather. As I shared it, I wished there was a third option. You know, the “perfect” option…. between 78-82 degrees, a slight breeze, humidity kept at bay…. but, surprisingly, most people said they prefer hot weather over cooler temps….. They should head over here because the weather has been pretty hot + humid the past few days…. feeling kinda like we’re on a tropical getaway, just sans any of those good tropical vacation vibes. That being said, we’ve been getting all our “outdoor” activity in during the early morning + later evening hours… and being hermits inside all day, AC blasting, and building lots of forts (for Harper…. not me….)….

And while temperatures of this heat typically call for lightweight cotton fabrics, one of my all time favorite summer staples is the romper. I know, I know, it’s all fun and games until someone has to pee…. but in all honesty, it’s not that bad. As long as you don’t wait until the last minute. My newest obsession is this chambray option. It’s so soft, and fits like a glove. It’s easy to wear in the daytime… and can be dressed up with a cute wedge for an evening out. They also work into the fall weather with a cute long cardigan and kicks….
