When it came to packing for last weekend’s getaway to Santa Ynez, I knew I needed pieces that were airy and would travel easily. Given that the temps were going to be in the high 90’s, I knew that my favorite jeans would have to be left behind (unless I wanted to sweat out gallons of wine…). So, I opted to toss in this skirt (and these adorable scalloped shorts) as an alternative to my favorite denim shorts. I paired it with my new favorite white tank for a casual and comfortable feel, as I knew we would be out all day long. We ended up spending the majority of the day outside, having a picnic and wine tasting at Pence…. and as we walked Harper around the little duck pond, I couldn’t have been happier that I had this easy breezy skirt. It also transitioned nicely when it came time for a little sparkling wine tasting too…
I love skirts as an alternative to a dress or shorts because they add a feminine touch and are nursing friendly! Some other favorite skirt options for this summer include this adorable little floral option (which I’ve been eyeing for a while, and since it went on major sale I might just have to snag it), this tiny polka dot version, a high waisted denim skirt, and this linen tie waist option.
