Whenever I have an impending trip, I go on the search for one or two special pieces. I try to find items that are in line with the weather and something a little more “special.” I love to dress up on vacation, if only for the sheer reason that I tend to prefer jeans and a tee when I’m at home. For this last trip to Chicago my search came across this striped knit maxi dress. I knew it would be the perfect piece, and I specifically saved it for this evening that we spent on the terrace at The Trunp Towers. In my mind, the dress is the perfect combination of casual chic, which is exactly what was required on this special evening. Prior to enjoying the sunset on the terrace, we enjoyed the beautiful fall-like weather and took a stroll along the river. I just love the way the sun glistens on the water in the early evening. It’s simply gorgeous. And, in the spirit of it being Friday, I hope you have something special, along with something special to wear, planned!
