Spring seems to be here to stay (in so.cal at least)… and so I’m slowly moving all my favorite spring shoes to the front of my closet… and putting my winter kicks away for a little warm weather hibernation. My one piece of criteria for selecting spring shoes was that they had to pass the comfort test….. comfort for a day with little miss (and our soon to be little one), comfort for a brunch with friends, and comfort for a night out with TJ. If they’re comfortable, and stylish, then they pass. So today I’m rounding up all my favorite shoes for this spring (and summer season….)…. they’re comfortable, practical, + stylish for everyday life…..
MULES
I think mules are such a stylish alternative to other closed toed options (i.e. sneakers… but don’t get me wrong, I’m all about those too). I’ve been known to wear mine with joggers, maxi dresses, bodycon dresses, jeans, and shorts. My to go-to options this season have been these white mules (I’ve shared them so many times) + this raffia pair. They’re both incredibly comfortable, easy to wear for an entire day, and their neutral colors allow them to pair with pretty much anything. They can both easily be dressed up or down depending on what you pair them with. If you’re looking for something with a heel to it, I recommend these white, open toed, mules…. great with a dress for a dressier occasion…. and cute with jeans for a night out… they’re a perfect spring option.
SANDALS
The holy grail for spring/summer and there are so many cute options out there right now. I own this raffia pair in several different colors and this style didn’t disappoint…. I’ve worn them several times since receiving them and they’re great for all day wear. This beautiful white slide is another great option for summer. They’re nicely padded, have a slight lift to them, and can be dressed up as well. An added bonus? They’re super easy to clean as well. Harper spilled chocolate milk all over them one day and you can’t even tell. These studded slides (found them in several other color options other than black), as well as this cognac pair, are both incredibly comfortable… and I love how easily they dress up a basic outfit. Two big investment pairs that I’ve owned for the past two years, and will continue to wear season over season, include the Hermès Oran sandal + this Gucci slide. As I mentioned, they’re investment items, so justifying them by cost per wear is something I think everyone should do before they make a big purchase…. I’m only sharing them in case anyone else is considering the investment and wondering about quality. They’re both excellent in quality + comfortable enough to be worn all day long.
SNEAKERS
I typically find spring to still be a great time for sneakers… since the temps are mild enough that my feet don’t get too warm. I still swear by my favorite Golden Goose pair… but recently purchased these blush perforated sneakers and they’re great. Super comfortable and give me some added height (which is always a bonus). They’re what I like to called an “elevated sneaker….”
