Now that it’s August I guess it makes logical sense to start thinking about fall. Not really, but since all the stores are, I guess that’s where my head is going. First on my list for fall is a new pair of slip on sneakers (think of them as glamorized VANS). In full confession I totally splurged on the Joie sneakers about a month ago, but was put on a wait list since they weren’t actually in stock yet (logically, it was/is summer, not fall). This bought me some “thinking” time. You know, the time between purchase and arrival. Often during this time I do one of two things (1) convince myself that I can’t live without the item, or (2) convince myself that there is absolutely NO need for the item. I rarely remain in limbo post “thinking” time. Case in point. Still waiting for the notification that the shoes had even been sent, I found myself at the mall… returning items, I promise! And I stumbled (well, okay, maybe I knowingly ended up in the woman’s shoe section) across these Steve Madden look-alikes for a fraction of the price! I did what any logical woman would do at that point. I bought the shoes, and then canceled the “splurge” order. Thank you “thinking” time!
