I always knew the day would come when helping Harper with her homework would humble me, and I would be reminded of how much has changed. I just wanted expecting it to come as quickly as it did: a mere month into the 1st grade school year. Math, always my weakest subject… I learned counting on my fingers (or silently to myself) and now it’s all about 10’s, partners, and patterns, etc…. Luckily, my sister is a 4th grade teacher, so I was able to text her for a few pointers (haha). I sure can’t wait to see what happens when she gets into the upper elementary years and, dare I even think it, middle school.
Now that the match homework is over, dinner is complete, and the girls are down, I’m choosing to forget about that humbling moment and either open up a new book (maybe the new Taylor Jenkins Reid book) or start a new documentary (I heard “The Girlfriend That Did Not Exist” is super good)….
And for today’s post, I pulled together the items I own, and would recommend, for the fall season from the Shopbop Sale. To be honest, this sale used to be much better: it was 20% off sitewide, no order minimum… but times change, and now it’s a buy more get more sale, saving anywhere from 15-25% based on total purchase. That being said, if there is something you are looking for, then this is a great time to find it… but if not, as with all my sale posts, pass the content and consider this my “I hope you have a great day ahead” post.
I did break it down into sections, and included a few items I have my eye on as well throughout.
______
DENIM
So many of my favorite pairs of jeans are included in the sale, and I’m going to break them down below:
DL1961 Hepburn Wide Legged Jean (featured above): I first bought this style last spring in the denim wash and loved how it pulled off the wide legged trend in a chic way- the jeans are fitted in the waist and hip, but wide throughout the leg… so no baggy and bulky fit with these. They are a high rise, have some slight stretch, and the inseam is longer, so since I’m short I cut them to a 28″ inseam and they work with any shoe. I have the white pair in my cart for fall/winter looks with ivory and whites.
AGOLDE 90’S Pinch Waist: I own these jeans in white (it’s not a pure white), distressed denim, and a black– they’re one of my favorite pairs in my closet. They have no stretch, but will stretch with wear. Great for all seasons.
AGOLDE Shorts: Not that anyone is really looking into shorts at the moment, but if you are, my favorite vintage loose fit shorts and the black, denim, and white color-way are included. I do recommend sizing down in these are they run on the bigger side.
TOPS
Half Zip Sweatshirt: I purchased the half zip (seen above) last August, and it’s so comfortable. It’s included in this month’s capsule (likely next month as well) and it has a more fitted look to it, so it’s not oversized and bulky (just size up if you’re looking for that fit).
Striped Tank: A spring purchase from this year, this striped tank is super versatile and an easy item to layer under cardigans in mild fall/winter weather.
VARLEY Vine Pullover: I purchased this oversized ribbed half zip (love the funnel neck) back in December 2020 and it’s still a favorite. Great to throw on and go after a workout, or just wear for everyday use. I took my regular size in this one. It also comes in black and a taupe color.
ACTIVEWEAR
Space-dye Crop + Leggings: This buttery soft set, that I own in the chai color and the black color (leggings, crop) is great for low impact workouts and perfect for everyday wear as well. I wore the black set traveling to and from Italy- it’s was so comfortable for our 24 hour travel day!
DRESSES + SKIRTS
LOVESHACKFANCY Skirt + Top: I purchased the skirt last spring for a trip to Hawaii and then added the matching top for our trip to Italy- it’s so beautiful paired together, but each piece can be worn separately as well. I wore the skirt several times as a cover-up in italy, and together for a dinner and a day of exploring.
LOVESHACKFANCY Dress: I purchased this during Shopbop’s spring sale and love the black color- pairs nicely with sneakers, sandals, or boots.
ACCESSORIES
St. Barth’s Medium Woven Tote: Love this bag for fall. My friend had it and I loved the look of it, and so she influenced me to make the purchase. I have it in black and brown and use both colors so much. The medium size is great for everyday use and can fit a 14″ computer, wallet, cosmetic bag, sunglasses case, water bottle, a crayon box (if you have kiddos), and has an interior pouch that comes with it.
Liar Liar Sunglasses: I’ve had this cat-eye pair of sunglasses for 6 years and love them. They’re still in great condition, and one of my all time favorites.
Leonard Sunglasses: I purchased these Illesteva sunglasses during the spring sale and they’re so beautiful. A round, smaller, frame, which is nice because it’s not overpowering on my face, haha!
Dainty Gold Necklace (see above): Another spring sale purchase that I wear every single day. It layers beautifully with so many items I already own. It’s 14k gold so it won’t tarnish.
Brown Knee High Boots: This was a purchase I made during the current sale. I can’t attest to size, etc… but the color looks so beautiful for fall and I envision wearing them with leggings and a straight leg jean during the fall season.
Tubular Earrings (featured in denim photo): A summer 2020 purchase, they’re lightweight and elevate any outfit instantly.
Janessa Leone Felix Bucket Hat: My favorite hat from the summer is included! It runs a little big, so I would size down- I have a small and I’m often a medium in her hats. I also have this felt one in my cart for fall…
