Growing up I loved to play dress up in my mom’s high heels and dresses. I think I was trying to channel my inner Disney Princess, Aurora. I would prance around the house singing “I know you…” and twirl around. I loved the swoosh of the skirt as it wrapped around my legs. I think we all have those pieces. Those pieces that make us feel slightly fantastical. Maybe it’s a pair of shoes, or a fancy handbag. For me, right now, it’s this fun skirt. It’s flirty, full, and when I walk around in it I am taken back to those childhood days of playing dress up. So, I like to think of this outfit as a grown up dress up session with a modern and practical twist. While I never would have actually worn my mom’s shoes and dresses out in public (I was five in a grown woman’s clothing) I definitely will be wearing this piece out and about… casual with a tee and sandals (I’m thinking  Hawaii here), and dressier, like this ensemble!
