I’m so excited to bring you the second part of our Sequin Collaboration with the fabulous Kathleen from Carrie Bradshaw Lied (and how adorable is the name?? For all you “Sex and the City” fans out there!). A little more about Kathleen… she works at Urban Decay and when we met her we felt as though we were talking to a friend we’d known for years… she’s that sweet!

Well, as fun as it is to dress down sequins for a day look, it’s equally as exciting wearing them at night! I’m loving Kathleen’s all black get up! She looks chic, sleek, polished, and ready for a fun night out (and I’m dying over her fabulous accessories)! Simply stunning.

I’ve typically reserved sequins for special occasions… Vegas trips, Bachelorette Parties, Birthdays, and of course New Year’s Eve (although, to be honest, sometimes the best New Years is spent in an oversized sweater on the couch… just sayin’). Testing the limits a bit, I’ve found that sequins can be perfect for just about anything (as you saw yesterday with the “day” look). Here, I paired them with my leather leggings, new favorite plum shoes, and those stunning Benevolent Jewels earrings, last seen here.

I’ve written before about not saving “things” for a special occasion, that everyday of your life is reason to celebrate… so why not wear more sequins? You simply can’t help but feel celebratory when wearing these flirty and sparkly pieces! If that’s a little too risky, try a sparkly clutch or a sweater with sequin adornments… and the holidays are rapidly approaching, so use that as an excuse (as if women really need an excuse!) to get dazzled up!
