For as long as I can remember, my all time favorite Fourth of July activities have always revolved around friends and family. In high school that meant spending the entire day at the beach, riding around on beach cruisers, hitting up Gina’s Pizza (their pasta salad was something to write home about), indulging on frozen banana bars (our version coming to the blog tomorrow), and ending it with fireworks. And while a few things have changed over the years, dressing in red, white, and blue is something that simply can’t, won’t, change. Since July evenings tend to be on the cooler side, a casual pair of distressed denim are the perfect option. I am love, loving, this pair and when matched with a red and white striped top, it makes for the perfect “frozen banana eating, beach cruising, I’m feeling festive,” 4th of July ensemble.
