I’m always torn. I so love the rain, but sometimes all I feel like doing is throwing on a pair of boots, an oversized sweater, and a hat to call it a day. Yet, the possibilities are endless when dressing for the rain… and you can look cute even when your hair is turning into a frizz ball, right? I think so! This past weekend it poured rain in Las Vegas pretty much the entire time. Wanting to look cute while we wandered the shops, we decided to throw some effort into a cute rainy day look!

First essential? Rain boots. Yes, those rubber things actually look cute now! They’ve definitely improved from those elementary years. It was actually quite fun splashing around in the rain when we knew that our feet were warm and toasty on the inside (a little secret… Allison had one Christmas sock and one polka dot sock on….)

Second essential? The heavy, oversized jacket to keep you toasty and your cute tops dry. I opted for an oldie but a goodie, with it’s water repellant material and fabulous faux fur hoodie. Allison opted for a heavy knit, also with a hood and a fashionable tie-around-the-waist detail to make it look extra chic.

Third? Opt for a sturdy umbrella… I’ve made this mistake one too many times. Flimsy umbrella + rain + wind = an umbrella that turns up and hair that is sopping wet. Fourth? Throw on that cute scarf you’ve been dying to wear. It will keep your neck and chest warm and away from the blustery elements!
