It’s hard to believe that a month ago we were prepping to head out of town on this trip… and now here we are, just arrived home from the girls’ Halloween Parade at school, and this trip feels as if it was months ago.

Park City has to be one of my favorite mountain towns… beauty abounds, with the perfect balance of activities, a fun main street area with great shopping and vibrant restaurants… and if spending time outdoors is your thing, trails of varying difficulty levels are available everywhere.

This fall trip arrived at the perfect time… a nice break from the bustle of school, sports, and everything else life throws at you. Our friends asked us what we were planning on doing when we were there and our simultaneous response is always “Just relax.” Sure we hiked and took the girls bowling at the hotel daily, but for most of the time, we just enjoyed being together without having to be somewhere else…

We soaked up the autumn weather (we get 3 trees on our street that actually turn fall colors…), getting outside in the crisp cool air for morning hikes (we were greeted with snow… which we weren’t expecting), and just being.
