This NYE will likely be spent two ways: (1) On baby-watch (jealous much?), or (2) On the couch, in stretchy pants, with a newborn, and maybe a glass of champagne (jealous much?). Needless to say, my NYE will be drastically different from those of the past. It used to be about making elaborate plans, planning the perfect outfit… and then hoping the night turned out the way I wanted it to… and more often than not the hype never quite fit the actual events of the evening. In the more recent years, the night has involved a trip away, just TJ and me, or an evening spent in with close friends (sipping cocktails and playing Scategroies…). Yet, one thing that has always remained consistent has been a need to add something a little special to every ensemble… and this tweed jacket, with its beautiful colors and textures, is just what a winter white dress calls for. It adds a touch of glam and adds sophistication to the oversized nature of the dress (because, let’s be honest… who doesn’t get bloated from copious amounts of good champagne?!). Hey, you know what? In either of the above scenarios, I just might wear this jacket regardless (it would look pretty fabulous with a black stretchy pants/top combo don’t you think??!).
