My Go-To Denim, Styled For End Of Summer

When I look into my wardrobe, I’d have to say that one of my favorite staples is always “denim.” Denim in any form… shorts, jeans, dresses… I think denim is so versatile… it can be easily dressed up or down, and goes with basically anything you own in your closet. The pants tend to take more of a break in the summer season, but as we head into the last month of summer (calendar-wise… it’ll be summer weather here well past then…) I do find myself pulling for my favorite pairs of jeans.

So today I decided I would round up a few of the ways I am styling my favorite denim for the “end of summer….” whether it’s my go-to cut-offs, trouser shorts, denim dress, or favorite wide legged jeans, I’ve included it below… And while I’m sharing my some of my go-to summer styles below, I hearted this wide leg, high waisted jean for the upcoming season…

If you’re looking for a bit of inspo for end of summer styling, I hope this helps!

And with that, I hope everyone has been having a good start to the week… we’re off to our second Back To School night this evening… and going to rope that into a quick date night dinner… something we rarely do mid-week, so it’ll be a nice way to break up the week and cruise into mid-week.

AGOLDE RILEY CROP

The AGOLDE Riley jeans are one of my favorite jeans- they have a straight leg cut, high rise, and are short gal friendly. I love the raw hem and how seamlessly they transition across seasons. I love pairing them with a basic white tank and an oversized sweatshirt, or sweater, in the later summer months.
As for sizing, I find that they run tts- they are 100% cotton, so they will be snug at first, but loosen over time.

DL1961 PATTI JEANS

I purchased the DL191 Patti Jeans back in February and love them- they have the perfect amount of stretch, and the cream color is great for all seasons. You can wear them with tanks, sweaters, cardigans, tops, and they easily dress up or down. As for sizing, I went up a size in these and they fit perfectly (but I did have to cut the hem as they were slightly too long).

DL1961 HEPBURN JEANS

I bought my first part of the Hepburn wide legged jeans (light wash, white pair, black pair) last year and loved the style so much I added a couple other washes over the year. If you’re not a fan of straight leg styles, and looking for something a bit looser, then these are for you. Fitted through the waist, but loose in the leg, they’re incredibly comfortable and (I think) a great option for a casual work environment. I find them to git tts…. but they are long, so if you’re short like me you will need to cut off a significant portion of the hem.

AGOLDE 90’S LOOSE VINTAGE

I’ve had the AGOLDE loose vintage jeans for 3 years now and love the style and fit for a really laid back feel. They style best with sandals, which is why they’re one of my favs in the summer season, but with a sneaker or flat, they’re just a chic. They run very big, so my recommendation is to always size down 2 sizes. (I also love this non-distressed pair, but it’s a pair I prefer to wear with hightops and sneakers)

AGOLDE PARKER LONG LOOSE SHORTS

My go-to pair of cut offs for the past 3 years have been these AGOLDE long, loose, shorts… and similar to the DL1961 Hepburn jeans, I’ve purchased a few different washes in the style… black and denim. They’re high waisted, and have a bit of a longer inseam…. I purchased mine several years ago, so I’m not sure how sizing is on the newer versions, but I found they ran a tad loose and ended up sizing down.

PAIGE DENIM DRESS

I purchased this denim dress at the beginning of summer and think it’s such an easy throw on and go option… and can also easily transition into the cooler months. I love it in summer with simple sandals, and easily dress it up with heeled summer sandals. This one runs tts.

REFORMATION FRANCIS HIGH RISE SHORTS

These high rise denim shorts are the perfect elevated denim short- they’re a trouser short style and are so cute dressed up or down. They are very high waisted, so if you’re between sizes, you’ll want to size up in these…
