TBH, I never quite understood the notion of moms having to reheat their coffee several times a morning. Being the mom of one, I figured I must just have it down since my tea was always warm. Right? Um, wrong. Big time. Over the past several weeks, I don’t know how many times I’ve had to reheat my tea (when I mentioned it over on instagram stories someone said to just pour it over ice at this point #genius….). Having two kiddos means twice the demands, twice the amount of time, and reheating my morning tea at least twice. Boy, did I have it good with one….
I’ve quickly learned that there are two items that allow me to enjoy warm tea and get a few things accomplished in the morning. An insulated cup + a baby bouncer.
The baby bouncer gives me the opportunity to put Camille down for a little while, hold my insulated cup in one hand, and address whatever needs Harper has, all at the same time. IMO, the baby bouncer is the holy grail of baby registry items. The trick is in finding one your baby will actually enjoy. We went through several different bouncers the first time around with Harper, it was a lot of trial and error, before we found one that she ultimately would tolerate. We eventually landed on the Babybjorn soft bouncer…. and so it was by pure luck that Camille loves it too. Not only is it pleasing to the eye + in neutral colors, but it’s super soft and allows her to sit in a more upright position (which is helpful with some of her reflux…). The girl loves the thing, hangs out in it, dozes off in it, and just chills. I also appreciate that as she starts to become more active she can move it on her own by bouncing her feet. An investment well made for hot tea + a little bit of hands free time….
Annnd, if you’re a momma who’s working on curating the perfect registry for your upcoming baby, you have to check out Walmart’s new + personalized baby registry. They have everything you need in one place (strollers, carseats, nursery items, baby monitors, and feeding items) along with some “premium brands” like Babybjorn, 4moms, + Halo (we’re obsessed with this sleep sack). Plus, they make registering so simple with incredibly helpful tips + ideas, such as a carseat buying guide + breastfeeding buying guide (this is so helpful!). A few of our go-to items that we use daily that you for sure should include on your registry include these Commotomo bottles (after 10 months of resisting, they were the only ones Harper would tolerate… and Camille took to them so easily), bottle sterilizer, and pretty much anything from FridaBaby (we use so many of their products….). Baby registering can be so confusing, but luckily Walmart makes it super easy + straightforward….
Hope you all have a great weekend!
