Motherhood || Fall Family Bucket List

With the start of each new season I always like to put together a list of “wishlist” bucket items for our little family. I say “wishlist” because it’s not something I stress out about… if we cross them off, great… if we don’t, it just means we were busy doing other fun activities as a family. I simply let the list act as a guide… if we’re ever approaching a weekend + wondering what to do, I pull out the list to offer up some fun, seasonal, options. I think we typically get to about half of the items… which means the rest simply roll over to the next year. I thought I’d share ours here today….

FAMILY BUCKET LIST

1. Head up to our family cabin in the local mountains to collect pinecones
2. Make pumpkin bread, pancakes, and muffins….
3. Visit our favorite local pumpkin patch
4. Paint pumpkins
5. Head out to Oak Glen for some apple picking (this is on my list every year… we’ve yet to make the trek…)
6. Hay ride at a local park
7. Annual trip to Park City
8. Take the train down to San Juan Capistrano for a horse ride at the local petting zoo
9. Have a fun fall (early) evening in the backyard… bob for apples, a fall themed obstacle course, s’mores at the fire pit…
10. Decorate our front porch (which, as you can see, has already started….)

And to ensure that we have everything we need for all our family fun activities, we rely on Walmart’s Next Day Delivery. It’s their new, free, service (i.e. no membership needed) that allows you to get all the items you need in a flash without having to leave the home (and for me, that’s key…). To utilize the service, I simply selected “next day delivery” at the top of the screen, and then was able to shop groceries (my favorite sparkling water, Harper’s favorite crackers + cereal), clothing (this hooded pullover is such a great casual, everyday option), kiddo’s clothing (this little leopard tee is so soft), and various other outing items (like this adorable wagon… which Harper + Captain loved… and a new leash for Captain). I’m also looking at their outdoor Halloween decorations to complete #10 on our bucket list. The entire order arrived in one, single, box meaning the waste was kept to a minimum. One of the easiest experiences I had all week!
