Monthly Series || Favorite Products From September

Happy Friday friends… finally! I was a day ahead of myself everyday this week… anyone else?? All that to say, I’m always excited for the weekend. We have a meeting with the contractor we think we’re going with Saturday morning, so crossing our fingers we can get started on the house soon. We’re also considering going to Disneyland to see all the beautiful Halloween decorations… and then we’ll likely be hanging by the pool. As always, I hope you all have a wonderful couple of days off… and enjoy your time!

Sharing all my favorite products from the month of September below….

FOOD/WELLNESS:

1. Pumpkin Pie Perfect Bar: No secret here that I’m a huge fan of Perfect Bar (although, I would say that their bars are getting smaller… but still the same price….)… and their seasonal Pumpkin Pie flavor is pretty delish! I’m not a huge fan of seasonal pumpkin products mainly because I feel as if a lot fall short of tasting good…. but these passed my test. I bought mine at Trader Joe’s (they have them at the cheapest price than anywhere else….).

2. Siete Cassava Flour Tortillas: I’ve shared these before, but mentioned that they fall apart very easily. Yet, I think they’re removed, or added, an ingredient and since they’re been holding up really well. We haven’t had any breakage issues…. they’re holding together during taco nights, my breakfast tacos, and wraps I make for lunch.

3. Amy’s Organic Refried Beans: Well, I’m typically a black bean kinda gal, but we had these the other night when we made tacos and I could have eaten them straight off the spoon. So. Good.

4. Rainbow Light For The First Thousand Days Vitamins: I was initially introduced to these vitamins through a potential sponsored campaign (I always test out products before I share, to ensure I like them), and as I began using them I found they were very gentle on the stomach, and I love that they are made with vegetables, fruits, and probiotics (also non-gmo). The premise behind the first thousand days is that each phase of pregnancy requires a different set of nutrients, and therefore prenatal vitamins should be geared towards that trimester’s needs… so they have pre-conception, first trimester, second trimester, third trimester, and postnatal (which I never even considered).

BEAUTY:

1. Dermalogica Rapid Reveal Peel: Alright, so let’s be honest… who has time to go to the spa for regular facial peels? Yeah, not me. Dermalogica created this at home kit that enables you to get a “spa-like” quality facial within 7 minutes. I did the challenge and used the product for 4 days straight…. at the end my skin was super soft and glowing (see makeup-less photo above)… now I use it once a week to maintain the gains that I received from the initial boost.

2. MAC Honey Love Nude Lip: I recently rediscovered this lip color… when we moved I found a lot of “lost” things…. and I’ve been using it regularly. It’s gives a great neutral + subtle color to lips, which is exactly what I like.

3. TULA Acne Clearing + Tone Correcting Gel: (20% off with code SHANNON) I feel fortunate that I haven’t suffered from acne over the years, but my favorite skincare line just launched an acne clearing + toning gel targeted at treating acne. I don’t have personal experience using it, but I do highly recommend their products, and if I did have acne would be all over this product.

FASHION:

1. ALO Pullover:  I was recently asked by someone if I could recommend to them a good post-workout and lounging… and this is the one I recommended, hands down. I wear it in the evenings lounging around… and on my morning walks as well. It’s super soft and I love the side slits. It can easily be worn with jeans as well. (see here)

2. ALO Workout Leggings: This pair, in the gravel color, fits like a dream… high waisted, hugs in all the right places… and I love the neutral color option as opposed to a white or black. It has a glossy finish, which I really like. (see here)

3. Jersey Jumpsuit: I love this jumpsuit for an everyday option… I can easily wear in throughout our Endless Summer… but also with a denim jacket, cardigan, or even an oversized pullover. It easily dresses up as well (pair it with a leather jacket). It’s soft, and it hangs nicely. I did have to bring it up a little so my chest wasn’t in full view for everyone (just an fyi if you’re on the short side….). (see here)

4. Platform Perforated Shoes:  I snagged these for NY and I love how tall they make me. I was initially concerned that the platform would be difficult to walk in, but it’s evenly distributed that’s it’s a cinch. They run TTS and also come in black. I styled them here + here.

5. Stripe Long Sleeve Tee: hereA great everyday, basic top to toss on… it’s soft and fits slightly oversized, which I always prefer. An easy piece to lounge around in… or wear with jeans… or joggers… or leggings… or really anything. Comes in a few different colors, and it’s v-neck which I always prefer. (see ).

6. Fluffy Slippers: Since it’s still warm out, and I can’t stand walking around the house barefooted, I opt for these open toe fluffly slippers. Suuuuuper comfortable and perfect if you don’t want your feet to overheat in this “fall” weather. They’re tight at first, but after a few wears, the padding flattens out and they fit TTS. I’m a size 6.5 and bought a size 7.

7. Lightweight Pullover: (currently 30% off, featured above) A great fall sweater for fall… super cute layered over a slip-dress (see here), or paired with casual joggers… you can easily pair it with jeans… faux leather leggings… another great and versatile item. It has a slightly oversized fit, so I recommend sizing down, or buying your regular size.

8. Casual Grey Maxi Dress: Lou & Grey makes some of my favorite, and softest, everyday wear and this maxi dress doesn’t disappoint. It’s short people friendly and is super cute when paired with comfy kicks… or slides while the weather is still warm. It has a small slit in the back which makes it easy to walk around… Depending on office attire, it could work in a more casual atmosphere with a cardi or blazer. I bought an xxs and it fits perfectly.

9. Wide Legged Cropped Jeans:  Ok, these are such a great alternative to fitted jeans… and they have an elastic waistband… and they look fashionable. For fall you can easily pair them with a beautiful sweater (the one featured above will work) or a long-sleeve bodysuit. Either way, if you’re looking for a great denim alternative, these are great.

10. Faux Wrap Sweater: I bought this exact sweater in grey last spring and the shape and way it hangs on the body is beautiful. It comes in three beautiful fall shades… and the key to getting a perfect fit is to size up. I’m typically an XXS or XS in Madewell and bought this sweater in a small. You can also pair it with a beautiful lace cardigan underneath. Work appropriate, everyday appropriate too.
