Memorial Day Weekend Outfit Inspo

It’s hard to believe that Memorial Day weekend is almost upon us, in a mere 7 days. Camille’s last day of school is the Tuesday after (what??) and Harper’s is the Friday… and with the whirlwind of end of the year activities (between the two girls) this month has literally flown by….

But Memorial Day has always been one of my favorite holidays. I love that it’s the unofficial start of the summer season… the weather is *usually* beautiful (although, 4 years ago, we had a rainy Memorial Day Sunday with our fireplace on… hoping not to have a repeat of that anytime soon…), we get together with friends and family, it’s a long 3 days, most of which are spent outside barbecuing and hanging by the pool. And while we’re still a few days out from the weekend (who’s counting??) this coming holiday is shaping up to be one filled with all the aforementioned activities.

And with fun activities, I always like to have some good outfits on hand… classic stripes, crisp white pieces, comfortable tops, a dress here and there… and Sézane carries all of that (and more) to prep me for the weekend. I went into my closet and pulled out some of my recent favorites from Sézane… and then mixed in a few new items… to put together 11 outfits that would work perfectly for this upcoming Memorial Day Weekend… lots of mixing and matching and lightweight layering for days spent outside.

A few notes on some of the newer pieces I mixed in….

Black Scallop Knit Tank: This tank is such a great  summer staple. It’s a thicker, stretchy, fabric, that feels so soft on the body. It’s great for an office setting (business casual I would say) and looks great dressed up or down…

Navy + White Striped Pullover: I have this pullover in the camel and white stripes, and it’s the best. It’s made from cotton, so a great fabric for spring and summer, and it’s also so easy to use as a lightweight layer on cool summer nights…

Small Bag: I was looking for a smaller bag, that I could dress up, or down, when I’m not with the girls, and this one is so beautiful in person. The straps are adjustable… so you can wear it crossbody or on the shoulder, and there are several compartments inside to hold various items.

White Swing Dress: Love that this one doesn’t overwhelm my short body, and has some really fun movement to it. Easy to dress up with heels, or down with sandals.

(OTHER OUTFIT DETAILS: Denim Shorts (a favorite from last year restocked) | White Button Down | Embroidered Chambray Top | Striped Mariner | Raffia Bucket Bag)
