For some reason this week felt like it was one of the longest in a while. That being said, it was a busy one, filled with projects, get togethers, and not very relaxing evenings. So this evening, TJ and I decided to head out to grab a quick bite to eat. I certainly didn’t feel like cooking, so I readily agreed with the suggestion. Being slightly fatigued already, I didn’t want to get too dressed up, so I opted for these casual boyfriend shorts (they are my absolute favorite…). I’m always torn when I wear shorts out for the evening though. I mean, I don’t want to look too casual. My typical go-to for a night when I am wearing shorts is a slightly dressier top. This one felt like the perfect option. With its lace detailing, bright summer color, and looser fit, it added just the right amount of dress to an otherwise un-dressy outfit.

Allison and I are headed out to Palm Springs on Saturday for a little rest and relaxation by the pool. A little sister trip that we like to try to do once a year. Be sure to follow along on instagram to see all the fun!.
