Every year, growing up, my elementary school would contemplate moving to uniforms. I would cross my fingers, and hope hope hope that the school uniforms wouldn’t pass. I cringed at the thought of wearing the same plaid skirt day after day (although the other option was exciting khaki pants….). To my delight, year after year I was allowed to wear whatever my heart desired instead of mandated uniforms. When plaid made a comeback, I hesitated to embrace the trend wholeheartedly… likely remembering my elementary fears. I started simple when I decided to dip into the trend. A plaid tee paired with my favorite distressed denim jeans (seen here). This year, I decided to get a little more bold and went for a full fledge plaid ensemble with this little dress. I love pairing the dress with my favorite mules and fedora… I feel that it adds the perfect touch of sophistication.
