As I mentioned yesterday, this past weekend was a low-key one with the arrival of the rain. With the exception of heading out for a quick breakfast on Saturday, the remainder of the days were spent indoors, cozy, enjoying each other’s company. It was a good sleeping weekend for Haper, so TJ and I were able to watch a few movies, read a few magazines, and cook a nice steak dinner (without having to shovel it down in record time… basically, I was able to taste my food!). With a “lazy” weekend comes cozy lounge wear…. and while I love my old college sweatpants and juicy couture velour pants (yes, I still own both), I also love to feel semi put together when I am putzing around the house. I picked up these chic sweatpants (or, the new name for sweatpants is now “jogger”… I guess that’s what makes it “elevated”…) and seriously didn’t want to take them off all weekend… and I plan on wearing this good vibes top to workout in as well (I love pieces that have a dual purpose).
When I get the chance (or allow myself) the opportunity for a lazy weekend these five things always top the list:
1. Starting, and finishing, a new book…. or flipping through the pages of magazines.
2. A nap (those are very valuable these days!).
3. Peruse pinterest for some delicious recipes and beauty inspiration.
4. Have a movie marathon (or the other day, I confess, I binged on Keeping Up With The Kardashians… please don’t judge!) or watch old Friends episodes. Recent movie favorites include The Intern and Straight Out of Compton (highly recommend both).
5. Organize little corners of the house (I have to make myself feel somewhat accomplished!)… this weekend was the top of our dresser.

I love to wear soft pieces that Harper can nuzzle herself into. I wore this sweater all weekend… from breakfast Saturday morning to a little mommy and me time with Harper on Sunday.
