I feel like it should be March. Every time I look at my calendar for work, I am amazed that, in fact, we are a mere 6 days (6 days!!!) from Christmas. With all the preparations that go into the holiday, I’ve taken to a “uniform.” Yes, admittedly, I have worn this outfit more than once over the past two day weekend. In doing the basic math (thankfully it’s not geometry here…) that would equate to everyday. Yes, it was a cold weekend, which required warm (er) clothing, and I’m not complaining. (Insert girl with her hand raised emoji here) I am that girl who wears beanies in Southern California when the weather dips below 65 🙂 Or, you could argue I’m also that girl who accidentally (or intentionally) goes several days without washing her hair (insert wide eyed emoji here) and logically the beanie then becomes an absolute necessity! Either way you slice it, I was comfortable, warm, and not stressing about my hair. I’d say that’s a winning weekend combo.
AND as we enter into yet another weekend I can’t help but let out a small (okay, rather large) squeal that I am entering into 16 straight days off from work. I started this tradition (if you can call it that) several years ago and I couldn’t imagine it any other way. On the agenda? A quick overnight trip to San Diego, high-tea at the St. Regis, a birthday celebration, fun New Year’s Eve plans (in) with friends, and a weekend trip to Napa. I am praying the time doesn’t fly….
Have a great weekend!!
