This is always a fickle time of year for Southern California weather. Earlier last week it was a blazing 95 degrees… then come Sunday it was drizzly and a cool 66 degrees! I decided that it called for a lazy Sunday, and with my lazy Sunday comes my “lounging” attire; leggings, comfy sweater, my favorite old baseball cap (representing my favorite team), and a day sans make-up. I often don’t give myself these days, and have every minute of every weekend planned out. I often find that I reach Sunday evenings more exhausted than I was at the start of the weekend. I’ve slowly begun to realize that I have to be okay with not having everything planned and take delight in the simple indulgence of a “Lazy Sunday.” Curling up in bed, drinking some tea, and reading my favorite magazines (this one is Women’s Health) was the perfect way to rejuvenate myself for the five work days ahead.
