This summer I have been loving shorts! In the past I haven’t really loved the casual nature of shorts but this summer I have been able to find several pieces in my closet that have allowed me to add some pizzaz to otherwise casual pieces. The other weekend we celebrated my nephew’s 2nd birthday and I wanted something that I could move in, but also something that was a step-up from straight casual. So I opted to throw in a little lace (always perfect to add a dash of femininity or glamour! See the other looks here and here) with my new red track shorts. It was effortlessly comfortable and the wedges added that extra little bit of dressiness that I was going for…. and of course, I always wear my go-to gold accessories! Once I had the outfit down I knew it would be a perfect day of celebrations and indulgences!
