We entered back into the real world yesterday with full steam ahead…. after school programs, homework, and an ill timed elaborate dinner that took much longer than we anticipated (although, the soup was 100% worth it in the end…). I guess if you’re going to get back into the swing of things, there’s no use in tip-toeing… might was well jump right in.
All that to say, I have January’s Capsule Wardrobe compiled for today’s post. Since we’re already 9 days into the month, I’ve had some real world experience with many of these items and think they’re the perfect mix of casual, comfortable, and elevated… sure to take you through any of your daily activities. I made a few more tweaks than usual this month, given that I pulled out some older pieces (like this brown cashmere sweater and this ivory oversized sweater) that I’ve been loving lately (especially pairing them, untucked, with these cream and trouser jeans… so chic). I also found myself wearing this reversible vest, with these soft pants and half zip, frequently over the break for casual, elevated, days (and they all mix and match easily). And then this grey coat… I’d been on the hunt for one for a few months and when I found the shorter version of it, someone on instagram sent me the longer style and I was sold (I’m going to have more styling ideas with it next week…).
Other than that I kept the accessories pretty much the same (with a lot of my favorites being restocked)…
Note, you can easily change the entire feel of an outfit here by swapping out the shoes and accessories. Swap in a kitten heel and many of the outfits can easily be worn for casual evenings out or a fairly casual work environment.
