Independence Day BBQ

One of the things I love most about summertime is the abundance of BBQ’s and family time. It’s as if the days’ increased length allows everyone more time to spend more time together, and it’s one of the reasons summer is my absolute favorite season. That being said, we had a family BBQ yesterday to celebrate the 4th of July, and I wanted to wear something that was casual enough for a BBQ but still cute!

This dress is a perfect, bold color for summer, and it’s texture and loose flow is perfectly casual, while still cute and feminine.

Since it was a family BBQ, accessories were better off being simple and casual, so I went with this classic Tory Burch bracelet. I swear mustard yellow is a new neutral! One of my other favorite accessories: a cold Longboard Island Lager from Kona Brewing Company (I clearly am still extremely Hawaii-nostalgic)!

IMG_5451These shoes are my new favorite find! They look exactly like the Dolce Vita pair sold in department stores, but I found a very similar pair at Target! Talk about splurge vs. steal!

The whole outfit came together as the perfect casual but still cute and celebratory, feminine, fun look that I was going for!
