How I’m Wearing A Black + White Contrast Tank This Spring…

A few weeks ago, as I was going on 30 minutes of blow drying my hair, I decided it was far too much work, and that it was time for a change. By the end of the 40 minute blow out routine, I had decided cutting my hair was in the imminent future. I wish I had the type of hair that could simply air dry and form perfectly tousled waves… or even paddle dry my hair without looking like a lioness… but I’m not… and the hour it takes on hair washing day to round brush dry, and then style, was just getting to be too much…. especially as we approach the summer season. I immediately took to Pinterest for “short brunette hairstyles” and added them to a folder on my phone. Tuesday felt a bit like Christmas morning (clearly exaggerating here…), and after my hairdresser was done working her magic, I had cut off about 10 inches (maybe 11….), which in turn cut off my balayage, and then pulled through my root color, and the end result was a darker, shorter, style for the summer season. It’s been 3 years since I’ve had hair this short… and I forgot how much easier it was. Change feels good. Change is good.

Now, we’re on the eve of Friday… with a fun weekend planned ahead. But before I sign off, I wanted to quickly share 10 easy ways that I’ll be wearing this black and white tank contrast, I included in May’s capsule wardrobe, for the spring (and summer) season. I love how this tank elevates a basic black option, and how versatile it is. The material is stretchy, and ribbed, but does run small, so I do recommend sizing up in this one for a less constricting fit.

And with that, I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend ahead… and I hope you can get in a mix of rest, relaxation, and fun!
