Home || Before + After: Harper’s Room Renovation

I’ll never forget, when we were having our first “look” at the house, when I walked into what would be Harper’s room. I couldn’t get over how awful the wallpaper was, how dingy the other walls looked (they had yellow stains all down the sides of them), and how damaged the floors appeared. Yet I also knew that with a little TLC the room would be perfect for her… so when we started work on the bedrooms, over Thanksgiving weekend to be exact, my mom was right behind me in tearing down that wallpaper. Let me tell you, that in it of itself made a huge difference…..

When it came to decorating, I had a vision, but also wanted to make it feel like a toddler room as well. A place where she could make it messy, jump and play, without worrying about anything. And in reality, this room is usually much more clutter… so thank goodness for a decent sized closet that I could stash things in while I took these photos. All in all she loves her room. She takes pride in showing people when they come over for the first time, and I took her along to pick out some of these items… or showed her photos and asked if she liked them… to ensure that she felt as if she had a say. So today I’m sharing all the products below, in case your little lady is ready for a room re-do…..
